crude craftsmanship, but sturdy

We received the chair a few days after we got 2 adult size Adirondack chairs from a major catalogue company, and differences in quality and craftsmanship were notable. The finish of the wood pieces (especially sanding on the end edges), the heft of the wood, the paint finish, details like covered screw tops and sanded holes -- all were markedly better on the adult chairs. Also, the directions for assembly on your chair were at times unclear and we had to figure them out by trial and error. It's a cute design, we like the color, and it seems sturdy enough. It just suffered from the comparison. I'd recommend it with caveats.

It did not seem as sturdy as I would have liked but we will see over the test of time. Also the corners were a little sharp.
