Curved and round pieces are made of Chinese hardwood. Flat pieces are made of furniture grade particle board. Ships partially assembled. This rocking horse is recommended for children up to 3 years.

      It was a gift for my grandson's 1st birthday. It arrived 2 days before I expected it. I loved the little story on the bottom where I could fill in his name and the date. Fairly easy assembly. Instructions were pretty clear. It took less than an hour to assemble. Very nice detail in the paint and textiles.
      A little expensive.
