The set came very fast and was relatively easy to assemble; although I did get help from my 3 yr old grandson! He loves it. It seems to be well made; I guess time will tell. I have a problem that is in the process of being resolved. The set came in 2 pkgs; 1 w/table & 2 chairs and another w/other 2 chairs. The 2 chair pkg had the wrong parts and now I had to reorder the 2 chairs and will need to open the pkg and take the parts I need and return the rest. A bit of a hassle. Hayneedle could not have known that the chair parts were wrong inside the package. I do like to buy made in the USA, and this was made in Thailand; my bad. I am hoping I will receive the correct parts and am able to complete my set. I think this table and chair set will be used alot by my grandchildren. My 3 yr old grandson loves to do his "crafts" at the table; ie, painting, cutting, coloring, etc. I am sure it will be used as "kid's" table for Holidays dinners also. It is very attractive looking and and I don't mind having in in my dining/living rm at all. Rather cute!!
The one thing I did not like was that Hayneedle required that I purchase the 2 chair set again and I need to take out the parts that were incorrect, and then send the rest back and then I will be refunded for the second set when it is returned. That didn't really make sense to me. The mistake is theirs and I should not be required to spend more $ to correct the mistake. That process should be changed. I think they should open a new pkg and send me the 2 simple little pieces that I need and I should not be required to spend any more $. I will wait and see how that part turns out.

This is such a cute table and chairs but I was disappointed by a couple things. One is that 3 of the 4 chairs wobble. My son-in-law worked on it for a while and couldn't keep them from rocking. The other is that there is a rather substantial dent in the table along the rim.
I know it can be returned but it took quite a while to put together and is very heavy so we are just going to live with it:(

Overall happy with this table. I took off a star because I did have to make a trip to Home Depot for smaller wood screws than the ones that were included. I suspect the holes in the table were drilled with a sized too small bit making the included screws impossible to insert:( But the smaller screws $3 did the trick and I really am pleased with the quality and look of the table. My children ages 8,6,and 2 can all sit comfortably there for at least a couple of years more.. Wish I had bought it earlier so my oldest could get full use... But this piece will be around for years I imagine... Heavy duty wood.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
